To accomplish this, Mountaintop uses a light-hydrocarbon extraction method. This solvent-based extraction maintains the highest level of cannabis integrity from beginning to end. Mountaintop’s extraction method cleans the cannabis of any microbials, molds and mildews, heavy metals and some pesticides that may have been introduced during cultivation. This is a True Full-Spectrum extraction method. With all extractions, Mountaintop guarantees zero detectable residual solvents, above any current New Mexico state standards. 

By lightly pulling the oils off the plant matter, Mountaintop’s process maintains the full spectrum richness and profile of every cannabis strain by preserving as much of the entire cannabinoid and terpene profiles as possible. Without these essential building blocks, the cannabis experience and medical effects are significantly hindered because of how your body absorbs the final product.

There are other extraction processes that don’t achieve these same results. CO2 extraction reinfuses terpenes at the end of the process, as well as having environmental impacts. Distillate extraction focuses primarily on THC and neglects the naturally occurring terpenes and cannabinoids in the whole plant. Solvent-less extraction methods like rosin press or ice water hash can still contain undesirable compounds such as microbials, pesticides and heavy metals. These compounds will be in the final product and will impact how your body responds.
